At Gridfox, we are constantly working to improve our platform to make it more user-friendly and efficient. We also understand that creating and managing Views is a crucial part of Users’ workflows. That’s why we are excited to announce our latest release, which streamlines the View creation process on Gridfox.
Gone are the days of navigating through a list of options to create a new View. With our latest release, we are simplifying the View creation process by replacing the various View options in the left-hand sidebar with a single “Add View” button.
Once you click “Add View”, a new modal will appear that has been updated to support the new approach for creating views. From here, the View Wizard will guide you through the setup process step-by-step:Â
Here you can select from all the usual options for Views, including Grid, Board, Calendar, Dashboard and Gantt.Â
What name would you like for your new View? Simply enter name and you’re ready to begin configuring your View
The next stage will differ slightly according to which View you choose, but this is your chance to add Fields to your View and configure what Record data it will show. In the example below, we’re configuring a Board View, so we’re shown the modal for configuring Board settings. If you were creating a Grid View, then you’d be shown the Field picker.
With your View settings configured, you’re good to go! Simply save your View and you can begin managing your data in a View that’s suited to you.
This new modal makes it easier for users to create Views by simplifying your View creation process. No more unnecessary steps, only the most important options upfront.Â
